Milan, 24 Apr. (LaPresse) – Russia and Ukraine have each released and handed over 193 prisoners of war. This was reported by the Interfax news agency, citing the Russian Ministry of Defence. “On 24 April, 193 Russian servicemen were repatriated from territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 193 prisoners of war from the Ukrainian Armed Forces were transferred. The Russian servicemen are currently in the Republic of Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance,” the Ministry stated in a press release. ‘The United Arab Emirates and the United States provided humanitarian assistance in their capacity as mediators during the return of the Russian servicemen from captivity,’ the Ministry of Defence announced, ‘all Russian military personnel will be transported to the Russian Federation to receive treatment and rehabilitation at the medical facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defence.’
