(LaPresse) – Tyra Caterina Grant’s run at the ‘Mutua Madrid Open’, a WTA 1000 tournament with a prize fund of €8,235,540 currently being played on the clay courts of the Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain (combined with an ATP Masters 1000 event), has come to an end in the second round. The 18-year-old Roman, ranked 262nd, who came through the qualifiers, was defeated by the experience of 36-year-old Romanian Sorana Cirstea, ranked 26th in the WTA and the 25th seed, who won in two sets with a score of 6-2, 7-6 (5).
