Turin, 15 April (LaPresse) – Bayern Munich staged a spectacular victory over Real Madrid, with the Bavarians flying into the Champions League semi-finals. At the Allianz Arena, Kompany’s side won 4-3 in the quarter-final second leg, repeating their success from the first leg at the Bernabéu (2-1) and eliminating Los Blancos, who were briefly given hope by Arda Güler’s goal just seconds after kick-off following a mistake by Neuer. Pavlovic replied promptly (6'), but Guler scored again from a free-kick (29'). Kane levelled the scores (38'), but Mbappé put Real back in front before half-time (43'). In the closing stages of the second half, the Blancos were reduced to ten men following Camavinga’s sending-off, and shortly afterwards Luis Diaz made it 3-3 (89’). The decisive goal was scored by Olise in stoppage time (94’). After the final whistle, Arda Guler was sent off for protesting. In the semi-finals, Bayern will face PSG.
