The Pope’s response during his flight to Africa shows how an adult should react to such stupidity’. George Weigel, author of the biography of Pope Wojtyła, said this in an interview with La Repubblica. ‘All this has happened because Trump is completely undisciplined and there is no one around him capable of protecting him from his worst instincts,’ he states. ‘And this is a general problem that applies to everything, not just the offensive message he decided to post against the Pope.’ ‘I hope this episode teaches pro-Trump Catholics that voting for a narcissist has never been a good idea,’ Weigel emphasises.
