Madrid, April 29 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner has qualified for the semifinals of the Madrid Masters 1000, currently being played on the clay courts of the Caja Mágica in the Spanish capital. The Italian player defeated the young Spaniard Rafael Jodar, ranked 42nd in the ATP rankings, in two sets, 6-2, 7-6 (0), in 1 hour and 56 minutes of play. Sinner will play the Madrid Masters 1000 semifinals for the first time on Friday: awaiting him is the winner of the match between France’s Fils and Czech player Lehecka.
