Rome, 4 May (LaPresse) – ‘My view is that, at European Union level, we have demonstrated our ability to react to emergencies in recent years. We did so with the pandemic and with the war in Ukraine. But now we must raise the bar on our action. This means moving from the ability to react to the ability to anticipate. It means focusing much more on a long-term strategy’. So said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, speaking at the CPE summit in Yerevan during the discussion on ‘maintaining European unity and coherence in times of multiple crises’, moderated by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, with the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
