Rome, 15 June (LaPresse) – Switzerland has not received any information or official request to host a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States. This is reported by The Times of Israel, citing a Swiss diplomatic source. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the parties will attend a ceremony in Geneva on Friday. “Organising a major event in Geneva at such short notice would be quite a headache for Switzerland, given that the countries participating in the G7 summit, which is being held this week in nearby Evian, France, are using their embassies in Geneva as a logistical base for the event,” the newspaper writes. “At the same time, the official says that, should a request be made, Switzerland would in all likelihood know how to organise the signing ceremony,” it adds.
