Madrid (Spain), 25 May (LaPresse) – The professorship at the Complutense University of Madrid, co-directed by the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Begoña Gómez, was established in accordance with established procedures and no illicit or unjustified income has been detected in the First Lady’s bank accounts. This is the conclusion of a report by the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard, which was handed over to investigating judge Juan Carlos Peinado and to which the public broadcaster RTVE has had access. The UCO’s findings cast doubt on some of the evidence used to charge Gómez with influence peddling, embezzlement, corruption and misappropriation. In recent days, Peinado has requested that Sanchez’s wife be committed for trial.
