Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has landed in Beijing, China, where he was greeted by a guard of honour and young people in blue shirts. This was reported by a correspondent from the Tass news agency. He is due to hold an informal meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which they will discuss the most pressing international issues. The programme for his visit, which will last until tomorrow, includes: a tea reception, preceded by Russian-Chinese talks involving delegations; a meeting with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China; the launch of inter-annual educational programmes, a visit to a joint TASS-Xinhua exhibition on the history of relations between the two countries, a meeting with the young Chinese engineer Pei Pai, and other protocol events.
