Milan, 12 May (LaPresse/AP) – The US Department of Defence estimates that the cost of Operation “Epic Fury” in Iran is now ‘closer to $29 billion’. This was stated by Jules Hurst, the Pentagon’s comptroller, speaking to Congress. The estimate of the cost of the war has risen from the $25 billion figure previously provided to Parliament around two weeks ago ‘due to updated costs for the repair and replacement of equipment… and also simply general operating costs’.
