Rome, 8 May (LaPresse/AP) – The US State Department has announced that, during his meeting with Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasised the importance of “promoting freedom of navigation and maritime security”, as well as the need to end the war in Ukraine and to ensure that Western countries protect their economic interests. ‘I met with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani to discuss maritime security and bilateral cooperation on economic and security matters,’ Rubio wrote on X.
