Rome, 5 May (LaPresse) – Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani met with Swiss President Guy Parmelin in Rome. “He confirmed Switzerland’s commitment to finding a swift and definitive solution so that medical expenses no longer fall on the families of the young Italians affected by the tragedy in Crans-Montana,” Tajani wrote on X. ‘This is a burden that cannot fall on them or on the Italian state, which bears no responsibility in this matter. Italy has joined the proceedings initiated in Switzerland as a civil party and will continue to closely monitor every development, together with the families.’ During the meeting – Tajani added – ‘we also discussed the crisis in the Middle East: the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the recent attacks against the United Arab Emirates are a cause for concern. With President Parmelin, we agreed to further strengthen economic relations and cross-border cooperation, including within the European context’.
