Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – Iran “wants to reach an agreement” but I “am not satisfied”. This was stated by US President Donald Trump whilst speaking to reporters at the White House. “They have made progress, but I’m not sure they’ll ever get there,” he added, referring to an agreement, whilst speaking of a “highly fragmented” Iranian leadership comprising “two or three groups, perhaps four”. “It’s a very disorganised leadership,” he concluded. Trump added that anyone who tolerates Iran possessing a nuclear weapon “isn’t very smart”. “It would be a terrible thing in the future if they were ever allowed to possess a nuclear weapon. We would face problems the world has never seen before, and that will not happen,” he added. “Their army has been defeated. If we were to leave now, it would take 20 years to rebuild that country. But at the moment we are not satisfied,” Trump concluded.
