Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – ‘The consequences of the crisis in the Middle East are worsening dramatically by the hour. Restrictions on navigation rights and freedoms in the Strait of Hormuz are disrupting the energy, transport, manufacturing and food markets and strangling the global economy.’ This was written in X by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres. ‘The time has come for dialogue, to find solutions that steer us away from the brink and to adopt measures that can pave the way for peace,’ he added.
