Turin, 27 May (LaPresse) – Federico Cinà’s run at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of 2026 (total prize money €61,723,000) taking place on the clay courts of Paris, has come to an end in the second round. The 19-year-old from Palermo, ranked 238th in the ATP rankings, who had progressed through qualifying to reach his first-ever Grand Slam main draw, was defeated 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 in just over an hour and three-quarters, by the Dutchman Jesper De Jong, ranked 106th, who had been repêchaged into the main draw as a lucky loser and who, in his opening match, had knocked out the Swiss Stan Wawrinka, ranked 113th in the ATP rankings and the 2015 champion in Paris, in his final year on the tour.
