Naples, May 4 (LaPresse) – Convincing victory for Roma over Fiorentina in the Monday night late match that closed the 35th round of Serie A. It ended 4-0 at the Olimpico, with the game effectively decided by Gasperini’s men already in the first half thanks to goals from Mancini in the 13th minute, Wesley in the 17th, and Hermoso in the 34th; Pisilli completed the scoring in the 58th minute. With tonight’s three points, Roma move ahead of Como and climb to fifth place in the standings, just one point behind Juventus, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot, and three points behind third-placed Milan. Fiorentina, meanwhile, remain 16th on 37 points, nine points clear of third-from-bottom Cremonese: however, just one point from their final three matches will be enough for the Viola to secure mathematical safety.
