Milan, 26 May (LaPresse) – "Mediaset? I won’t comment because lately it feels as though I’ve been invited onto Rete 4 by Realpolitik. I don’t know if there are any party lines; Marina Berlusconi would be entirely in charge of that. It surprises me when she speaks as if she were embodying Forza Italia’s political line. Is the aim to convey the idea that Forza Italia is a party controlled from outside, driven by money and the publishing industry?” So said the founder of Futuro Nazionale, Roberto Vannacci, on the sidelines of a press conference at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan. “Is Marina Berlusconi the secretary-general of Forza Italia? What role does Marina Berlusconi play in Forza Italia? Help me understand, because I still haven’t got it. So when she says ‘we’, who is she referring to? Mondadori? I don’t need to print any more books. So what does that mean? Because it comes back to what I said before: are we saying that politics, or that some Italian parties, are controlled by money and the publishing industry?”, continued Vannacci. When asked if he planned to speak with the party’s secretary, Antonio Tajani, Vannacci replied: “I speak to everyone without distinction, so I have no problem speaking with Tajani, but I don’t plan to speak with him at the moment.”
