Rome, 6 May (LaPresse) – Following a complex operation by the Judicial Police coordinated by the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) in Potenza, the Carabinieri from the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command in the capital of the Basilicata region have located and arrested a fugitive who had been on the run since January last year. The operation, carried out in the municipality of Foggia, involved the deployment of the GIS (Special Intervention Group) and the Carabinieri’s Territorial Units to support the execution phase. The operation, the result of meticulous planning that cut off all escape routes for the fugitive, brought the suspect to justice in complete safety, crowning a complex intelligence operation carried out over recent months by the Carabinieri.
