Rome, 6 June (LaPresse) – With the announcement of the dates for the 2027 Sanremo Festival – 16 to 20 February – via Stefano De Martino’s social media profiles, the new artistic director’s tenure has officially begun. This was announced by Rai. De Martino, together with the Director of Prime-Time Entertainment, is already working on setting up the festival’s organisational structure. The artistic director posted a story on Instagram with Vasco Rossi’s ‘Vita spericolata’ playing in the background, a song that competed at Sanremo in 1983, finishing second-to-last but later becoming a cult classic of Italian music. According to LaPresse, the cover versions are expected to be brought forward to the third evening (rather than the fourth as in the past), with the new Eurovision night set to take place on the fourth and penultimate evening, which will decide Italy’s entrant for the continental contest.
