Rome, 9 June (LaPresse) – The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated in a social media post that Israel “firmly rejects the shameful measures taken by foreign governments against Israeli citizens, entities and a minister”. ‘The true essence of these actions lies in the attempt to impose a political stance regarding the right of Jews to live in the Land of Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, disguised as measures against violence,’ the post continued. "What these governments have in common is their glaring inability to combat the rampant anti-Semitism in their own countries. Anti-Israeli policies of this kind do nothing but fuel such anti-Semitism. Surprisingly, these governments have failed to impose sanctions or take action against the phenomena that actually fuel violence: the Palestinian Authority’s policy of paying terrorists and incitement to hatred,” the ministry concludes.
