Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump said he has no intention of withdrawing American troops from the Middle East, telling NBC News: “I think we’ll keep them there until the operation is completed” in Iran.
“Keeping them there costs us very little,” he added in an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press. Trump also spoke favorably of Mojtaba Khamenei, who has not appeared in public since the start of the war, comparing him to his father. “He’s younger. I think he’s more rational,” the White House chief said. “He is quite seriously injured. So there’s a certain courage in that. A lot of people, if they were injured that seriously, would not be talking about, you know, ‘How are we doing with the United States?’ They would have other things on their minds. So there’s a certain courage in that. But he is very seriously injured.” “I don’t want to say whether or not I know where he is,” Trump added, “but there’s a good chance that I do.”
