Milan, June 1 (LaPresse) – The Israeli army (IDF) has warned residents of Beirut’s southern suburbs to leave their homes ahead of possible air strikes. “The IDF warns residents of the Dahiyeh area in Beirut and urges them to evacuate for their safety,” IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Colonel Avichay Adraee wrote on X in a post published in both Arabic and English. “If the terrorist organization Hezbollah continues to launch rockets at Israeli cities and population centres, the IDF will respond by striking targets in the southern Dahiyeh area,” he added. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that they had ordered the IDF to strike Hezbollah targets in Beirut.
