This is what a source close to Tehran’s negotiating team told the Iranian news agency Tasnim, linked to the Pasdaran, referring to the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the US to reach an agreement and avoid a resumption of the conflict. According to the source, “progress has been made on some points compared to the past, but until a conclusion is reached on all contentious issues, there will be no agreement”. According to Tasnim, the Pakistani mediator is still acting as an intermediary for discussions on various issues. The source quoted by Tasnim adds that “the focus at the moment is on the issue of ending the war, and until this issue is resolved, no other matter will be subject to negotiation”. Tasnim concludes that the well-informed source emphasised that the texts published by some Western sources regarding the details of the agreement are not accurate.
