Milan, 12 May (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that Russia launched over 200 drones as the three-day ceasefire, which lasted from Saturday to Monday, came to an end. "Russia has chosen to break the partial silence that had lasted for several days. Overnight, more than 200 attack drones were launched against Ukraine. Air bombs were used again on the front line – more than 80 – and over 30 air strikes were recorded,” Zelensky reported in a post on X, adding that “the attack drones were shot down in the regions of Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv, as well as in Kyiv and the surrounding region”. ‘Energy facilities, apartment blocks and a nursery have been damaged, and there was also an attack on a standard civilian locomotive on the railway. It has been reported that some people were injured as a result of these attacks. And, unfortunately, there are also casualties,’ Zelensky explained.
