Rome, 5 May (LaPresse) – “The Pope continues on his path, in the sense of preaching the Gospel and peace, as St Paul would say,” on every occasion, “whether convenient or inconvenient.” This was stated by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin on the sidelines of the celebrations at the hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo, responding to journalists regarding yet another attack by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Leo XIV. ‘Even in the face of these new attacks, I do not know if the Pope’ will respond, he continued, ‘he will probably not have the opportunity to respond because on that occasion’, last 13 April, ‘there was a meeting with journalists, but the line remains the same’.
