Brussels, May 4 (LaPresse) – "On energy, we are too dependent on fossil fuels and therefore on market volatility. We need to increase our resources in Europe, in particular renewable energy and nuclear energy, because they are local, cheaper and more reliable resources. The second area in which we need greater independence is defence and security. We must strengthen our military capabilities in order to be able to defend and protect ourselves." This was said by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen upon arriving at the meeting of the European Political Community in Yerevan, Armenia.
