Flotilla: around 175 activists have landed in Crete

Rome, 1 May (LaPresse) – Around 175 activists from the Global Sumud flotilla, intercepted by Israeli forces early on Thursday morning in international waters off the coast of Crete, have landed on the Greek island. This is according to ‘Radio Lasithi’, a Greek radio station based on the island of Crete. According to Radio Lasithi, an initial group of activists has already disembarked from a Greek tanker in the area. Meanwhile, the rest of the Global Sumud flotilla, which was not intercepted by Israeli forces, arrived in Ierapetra, the island’s port, on Friday morning. In total, according to available information, 28 boats are already in the port, and five others are on their way.
