Rome, 26 Apr. (LaPresse) – According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on 26 April, Russia has lost approximately 1,325,650 soldiers in Ukraine since the invasion began on 24 February 2022. This is reported by the Kyiv Independent, adding that the figure includes 960 casualties among Russian forces in the last 24 hours. The report, published on the General Staff’s Telegram channel, also lists 11,892 tanks lost, 24,463 armoured fighting vehicles, 91,582 vehicles and fuel tanks, 40,711 artillery systems, 1,753 multiple rocket launchers, 1,354 air defence systems, 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters, 258,091 drones, 33 ships and boats, and two submarines. The Ukrainian General Staff, however, has not disclosed its own losses, citing operational secrecy.
