Kyiv, Apr 19 (LaPresse) – "The continued easing of sanctions against Russia does not reflect the real situation on the battlefield or in diplomacy and fuels the illusion of the Russian leadership that it can continue the war. Just this week, the Russians launched over 2,360 attack drones, more than 1,320 guided aerial bombs and nearly 60 missiles of various types against our cities and communities." This was reported on X by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. "Every dollar spent on Russian oil," he stressed, "is money for war. More than 110 tankers of Moscow’s shadow fleet are currently at sea. On board there are over 12 million tons of Russian oil which, thanks to the easing of sanctions, can again be sold without consequences. This represents 10 billion dollars, a resource that is directly converted into new attacks against Ukraine. That is why it is essential to stop Russian tankers, preventing them from delivering oil to ports. The aggressor’s oil exports must decrease, and long-term sanctions against Ukraine continue to contribute to this goal. I am grateful to each of our soldiers and I thank all partners who are helping increase pressure on Russia in this war."
