Today I will meet with representatives, including General Abagnara. They are playing a vital role. I also discussed this with Minister Saar, strongly urging that the safety of our military personnel be guaranteed. Yesterday’s incident was probably an accident, but such incidents must not be repeated.” This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking in Beirut during his visit to Lebanon. “We must work to strengthen coordination and information-sharing between the Israeli army and our units, so that there are no misunderstandings, but safeguarding the safety of our troops is a priority for us here in Lebanon,” he reiterated.
