Milan, 13 April (LaPresse) – British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that the UK “does not support a blockade” of Iranian ports, imposed by the United States and due to come into effect at 4 pm today. This was reported by the BBC. He added that the UK’s response focuses on keeping the Strait of Hormuz open because “this is the way to bring energy prices down as quickly as possible”. ‘Whenever the strait is closed or not navigable as it should be, it means that oil and gas are not reaching the market, which means that prices rise and everyone listening to us is faced with higher energy bills,’ Starmer said in an interview with BBC Radio 5, ‘I don’t want that to happen. I want their energy bills to stabilise and go down.’
