Frankfurt (Germany), 12 Apr. (LaPresse) – Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir has said he feels like the ‘master of the house’ at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem – the Temple Mount – and has promised to continue pressuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to expand Jewish access to the holy site, whilst Jordan condemns the far-right minister’s visit to the site. This is reported by The Times of Israel. Ben Gvir, who was filmed today praying on the Temple Mount, states in a video shot on site: “Today I feel like the master of the house here.” “I continue to urge the Prime Minister to do more and more. We must go even further, ever higher,” said Ben Gvir, standing alongside Rabbi Elisha Wolfson of the Temple Mount Yeshiva, who encourages Jews to ascend and pray at the site. “What a complete transformation,” added Ben Gvir. When he first visited the Temple Mount as a teenager, he recounted, Palestinians “wouldn’t stop shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ and would surround us”, and “if a Jew dared even to murmur something, he would be arrested”.
