Rome, 9 April (LaPresse) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he has given instructions to begin direct talks with Lebanon as soon as possible. The negotiations, he explained, “will focus on the disarmament of Hezbollah and the establishment of peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon”. “Israel welcomes today’s appeal by the Lebanese Prime Minister regarding the disarmament of Beirut,” he added.
