Rome, 9 April (LaPresse) – During an interview with “Channel 14”, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that any direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon would take place ‘under fire’. The minister emphasised that these political moves do not mark the end of the military campaign. ‘The war will not stop,’ Katz clarified, adding that Israel will not allow Lebanese residents to return to the area south of the Litani River, as this represents a ‘clear security interest’ for Israel.
