The Hague (Netherlands), Apr. 4 (LaPresse/AP) – Dutch police are investigating a small explosion that occurred last night outside a Christian center that promotes Israel in Nijkerk, in the Netherlands. Police in the province of Gelderland said no one was injured in the blast, which caused only limited damage. Authorities have appealed for witnesses and said no arrests have been made. The group “Christians for Israel” said the explosion targeted its Israel Center and was caused by an explosive device. In a statement, the group expressed shock and said the blast was part of a series of attacks against Jewish sites. Authorities have strengthened security around Jewish sites following explosions last month outside synagogues in Liege, Belgium, and in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam, as well as outside a Jewish school in Amsterdam.
