Turin, 3 April (LaPresse) – The Iranians have vowed to rebuild the Karaj bridge damaged by the US attack. The bridge was in the final stages of construction and was due to be officially opened next June. ‘The project was due to be inaugurated shortly and serve our people. It is the result of pure Iranian expertise, and this seems to be the reason that has infuriated our enemies,’ Abolfazl Rahmani, who works for the Northern Freeway Construction Company, told Al Jazeera. "The bridge has no military function. This fact is confirmed by aerial views and maps. Contrary to what Trump has claimed, we will rebuild the bridge,” he added. Eight people were killed in the attack and around 100 were injured. Most of the victims were residents of a village located near the bridge.
