Iran, Putin: ‘We are ready to do everything possible to normalise the situation’

Frankfurt (Germany), 2 April (LaPresse) – Russia expects the conflict in the Middle East to end as soon as possible and is ready to do everything in its power to restore the situation to normal. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ata at the Kremlin, as reported by TASS. “We all hope that the conflict will end as quickly as possible. US President Donald Trump spoke about this yesterday. I repeat: for our part, we are ready to do everything possible to restore the situation to normality, or as they say in such cases, to a state of law,” Putin said. The Russian president noted that the situation in the region is a cause for universal concern. In this regard, he added, it is essential for Russia to listen to Egypt’s assessment of this issue, as a key country in the Middle East. “The situation in the region is a cause for shared concern,” Putin said.
