Rome, Mar 29 (LaPresse) – “I have instructed that the Israeli ambassador be summoned tomorrow at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide clarification on the decision to prevent Cardinal Pizzaballa from celebrating Palm Sunday.” Announced on X by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem reported that this morning the Israeli police prevented Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa and the Custodian of the Holy Land, Father Francesco Ielpo, from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem while they were on their way to celebrate the Palm Sunday Mass.
