Milan, 27 March (LaPresse/AP) – Tehran has accepted the UN’s request to allow the safe passage of humanitarian aid and essential agricultural shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. This was stated by Ali Bahreini, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva. ‘This measure reflects Iran’s ongoing commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts and ensuring that essential aid reaches those in need without delay,’ Bahreini told X, just hours after the United Nations announced the creation of a task force to address the impact that the war with Iran has had on the delivery of crucial humanitarian aid.
