Iran, Hezbollah leader: ‘Self-defence against Israel to defend Lebanon’

Turin, 17 March (LaPresse) – Hezbollah is acting in ‘self-defence’ in its battle against Israel, ‘defending its territory, refusing to surrender and protecting the nation's existence and independence’. This was stated by the leader of the Lebanese organisation, Naim Qassem, in a letter addressed to militants. “The only possible solution is to stop the aggression, withdraw from the occupied territories, release the prisoners and allow the inhabitants of villages and towns to return to their homes, whilst initiating reconstruction. We are capable of achieving this goal,‘ added Qassem. ’The resistance will continue on the battlefield, regardless of the sacrifices, and it will be the battlefield that decides the final outcome," he concluded.
