Rome, 7 March (LaPresse) – ‘We are following the escalation in the Gulf region with great concern and fully understand the apprehension of the countries in the area, to which we have expressed and continue to express our solidarity. Enough missiles, enough drones!’ This is one of the passages from the interview with Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Sky News Arabia. The minister pointed out that around 100,000 Italian citizens live in the area affected by the conflict, many of them in the United Arab Emirates, and thanked the Emirati authorities for their support to the Italian community and for their cooperation in ensuring assistance to Italian nationals during the attacks. Tajani reiterated the strong friendship that binds Italy to the Gulf countries and Italy's willingness to contribute to the security of the region.
