Milan, 2 March (LaPresse) – The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, said that the army has launched an “offensive campaign” against Hezbollah in Lebanon that is likely to last several days. ‘We have launched an offensive campaign against Hezbollah. We are not limiting ourselves to defence, we are now moving on the offensive,’ he said during an assessment after Hezbollah's rocket and drone attacks against Israel overnight. ‘We must prepare for several days of fighting, many days. We need strong defensive readiness and continuous offensive preparation, in waves,’ he added. This was reported by the Times of Israel.
