Rome, 19 February (LaPresse) – Rustem Umerov, Ukraine's chief negotiator, met today with Davyd Arakhamia, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, the Prime Minister's diplomatic adviser Fabrizio Saggio, and representatives of Italian security agencies. ‘We discussed defence, energy and economic support for Ukraine and agreed on our positions on the next steps in our cooperation,’ Umerov wrote on X. ‘Separate meetings were also held with the heads of major defence companies,’ he added. "We discussed strengthening the Ukrainian defence industry, in particular the development of air defence capabilities to protect our cities. We thank Italy for its continued support for Ukraine," Umerov concluded.
