Madrid (Spain), 17 February (LaPresse) – The Spanish government will today ask the prosecutor's office to investigate the digital platforms X, Meta and TikTok for child pornography. ‘Today, the Council of Ministers will invoke Article 8 of the Organic Law on the Public Prosecutor's Office to ask it to investigate the crimes that X, Meta and TikTok may be committing with the creation and dissemination of child pornography through their artificial intelligence,’ Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez wrote on X. ‘These platforms,’ he remarked, ‘are threatening the mental health, dignity and rights of our sons and daughters. The state cannot allow this. The impunity of the giants must end.’
