Milan, 17 February (LaPresse) – Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has stated that the United States will never succeed in overthrowing the Islamic Republic and warned that even the strongest army in the world can suffer crippling blows. "The US president said in one of his recent speeches that for 47 years America has been unable to eliminate the Islamic Republic; he complained about this to his own people. For 47 years, America has been unable to eliminate the Islamic Republic. This is a good admission,‘ Khamenei said during a meeting with citizens of East Azerbaijan province, ’I say: you too will not be able to do so." He added: ‘They keep saying they've sent an aircraft carrier to Iran. Okay, an aircraft carrier is a dangerous device, but more dangerous than the aircraft carrier is the weapon that can sink it.’
