Strasbourg (France), Feb. 10 (LaPresse) – The European Parliament has just approved two amendments to the ECB’s annual report supporting the digital euro project. “In a context of increased geopolitical uncertainty and excessive dependence on payment infrastructures of third countries, the introduction of a digital euro, designed to complement cash and private banking services, is essential to strengthen the EU’s monetary sovereignty,” amendment 41 reads.
