USA, Trump against Republican Massie: "Something is wrong with him"

Washington (USA), Feb. 5 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump called Republican Representative from Kentucky Thomas Massie, who sometimes votes against the party, an "idiot." In his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump addressed the topic of legislation and stated that Republicans generally unite after some maneuvering – all, he said, except Massie. "We will get 100% of the votes except for this guy named Thomas Massie. There is something wrong with him," he said, calling him an "idiot." Massie, a libertarian-leaning representative, drew the president's ire for stating that he did not have the authority to attack Iranian nuclear sites without Congress's approval, for voting against Trump's massive tax and spending cuts bill, and for pushing for the release of dossiers on Jeffrey Epstein.
