USA, Trump: "Kristi Noem Isn’t Leaving, She’s Doing an Excellent Job"

Washington (USA), Jan. 27 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump has ruled out the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in relation to the events in Minneapolis. When journalists, as he was leaving the White House to go to Iowa, asked him if Noem would resign, the president responded with a single word, “no.” Noem has faced criticism after federal agents killed two people in Minneapolis within a few days during protests against immigration enforcement actions. Trump sent his border security chief Tom Homan to Minneapolis and said that Homan will meet both the city’s mayor and the governor of Minnesota. “He’s meeting with the governor and, I believe, later will also meet with the mayor,” he said.
