Milan, Jan 22 (LaPresse) – According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, Jacques and Jessica Moretti, owners of the bar Le Constellation in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, where 40 people died in a New Year’s Eve fire, reportedly took out loans totaling at least 6.4 million euros. Based on statements made by Jacques Moretti in court and documents reviewed by Le Figaro, the couple allegedly took out at least five loans for commercial and residential properties: 1.4 million euros for the restaurant Le Senso, 1.8 million euros for the bar Le Constellation, 1.4 million euros for the restaurant Le Vieux Chalet, 1.4 million euros for their primary residence, and 400,000 euros for an apartment in Cannes. The couple also owns several luxury cars. However, the loans are disproportionate to their reported income; during questioning, they stated that their three companies generate a total of 10,700 euros per month.
