Madrid (Spain), 18 Jan. (LaPresse) – Two high-speed trains derailed in Spain, near the town of Adamuz, in the province of Cordoba. The news was reported by Adif, the company that manages Spain's railway infrastructure. The Andalusia Region emergency services wrote on X that there were injuries. Spanish public radio and television broadcaster Rtve reported, citing Civil Guard sources, that two people died in the train accident. "The Iryo LD AV 6189 train, travelling from Malaga to Puerta de Atocha, derailed at Adamuz junction 1, invading the adjacent track. The LD AV 2384 train from Puerta de Atocha to Huelva, which was travelling on the adjacent track, also derailed," Adif said in a statement.
